The use of the webinars is an outstanding resource that can save libraries and other institutions monies. It is nice to be able to "attend" a session at your own convenience when they are archived. It is also a fabulous method to allow other staff to view sessions rather than having to attend out-of-town discussions.

Week Two

Week two and onto Facebook. I've had a Facebook account for quite some time so feel comfortable with it and the uses. Did read thru the intro page of it on 23ThingsKansas site and was introduced to the Linkedin and Ning concepts.

Just found this hamster. There are days we can all relate I'm sure!!
I think visitors to my blog site can take time and play with him. Be
sure to click on the black spaces around him and you'll feed the poor, tired,
hungry little guy. Thank you for playing with my net-pet. Does anyone
have an idea for a name for him?

Day Two

Can see that this could be a tool for things like book discussion groups, reviews,etc. Great for interconnecting with persons of similar interests. A bit awkward to begin with but isn't there always a new challenge out there!
